James A. Sugarman

James Sugarman is an associate at Grant & Eisenhofer, representing plaintiffs in complex litigation in a variety of areas of practice, including securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions on behalf of institutional investors, Whistleblower and False Claims Act cases, antitrust suits, and collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Mr. Sugarman received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2008, where he was a member of the Virginia Law and Business Society as well as the Virginia Employment and Labor Law Association and competed in the William Lile Moot Court Competition. After graduating from law school, Mr. Sugarman worked as a corporate associate for a nationally-recognized law firm in Miami, Florida, where he worked on numerous mergers and acquisitions involving Fortune 500 companies. He graduated cum laude in May 2005 from University of Florida with a B.A. in Economics as a National Collegiate Scholar and a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society.
