[...] In a recently unsealed lawsuit, whistleblower Gale Bryden accused Wyoming Medical Center of defrauding Medicare and Medicaid. The lawsuit claims that the hospital’s records clerks altered hospital records by changing patient admission status without physician orders, which resulted in increased reimbursements. Hospital attorney Dick Williams states, “We have denied from day one that there was any intent to improperly bill the government…. Or that there was a systematic direction from anyone to alter statuses or records.”Source: whistleblowerlaws.com [...]

To advise, I work for a very large Bank with a very large mortgage subsidiary and since April 15 pursued all available internal channels before filing the official report on May 25. I reported every conceivable Dodd-Frank, SAFE, and labor violation in every combination possible and on May 25 submitted to the Agency an extremely detailed, complete report of all possible violations in every conceivable combination. The documentation in my report is exhaustive, detailed, and transaction specific when possible.

So....if a current or past employee from such a Company as I describe thinks they have "qui tam", rights on pretty much anything they can think of.......... they don't. I do and they belong to my Employer as provided for in the May 25 decision.

An attorney or individual who files a claim under the new rules or subsequent to my filing will almost certainly not have "qui tam" rights and should carefully consider this before filing an action.

THat poem made my laugh because it was so true. I was a whistel blower in the Pfizer case and most of that was reported. The federal prosecutor said it was outragous off-label promotion. SInce we told Pfizer's compliance officers all about it, I am not sure why they think it did not happen?THe movie Love and other drugs mocks the pharma industry and Pfizer and brings out the lowest points of a rep. How sad when we use to caare about the safety of patients that it has come to this. I don't recommend it any longer for a career for anyone..

We should all get our money back from Wall Street. Unfortunately, in any given year, a percentage of Wall Street hold offices in the federal administration. It is a permanent fixture there, rotating its representatives.

The primary problem with a public sector union is that its employer is the taxpayers of that particular jusisdiction. When the union asks for more goodies, the accommidating authority can pony up without cost to that authority; it simply taxes its citizens--an endless supply of booty.

For federal unions, the authority may even print the extra money to pay the demands. But the states can't. At some point the gravy train runs dry. Many states, including Wisconsisn see that now.

Unions see it too. That's why Wisconsisn has imported thousands of aggitators from other parts of the country. I wonder what these people do for a living that they can take so much time off without incurring financial disaster. But then, they are union aren't they?
